We are currently seeking a Mechanical Structural Engineering Associate Manager to join our FBM Flight Sciences team in Sunnyvale, CA or Littleton, CO.
**Start Date No Sooner Than 4/2025**
The selected candidate will manage structural analysis to include Stress and Loads and Dynamics in support of FBM Missile Programs (includes the new D5LE2 Missile Design and the completion of the Common Missile Compartment analysis). The successful candidate will detail plan the analysis effort required to meet program milestones in accordance with the specified program management schedule (e.g. Jira / Integrated Master Schedule). They will lead the group to define a successful structural test program to ensure a successful mission. In addition, they will represent the group in customer and program meetings, presentations, and deep dives. They will define a structural analysis strategy and associated resource plan to ensure successful support of FBM missile programs.
As a coded leader, the selected candidate will manage definition and implementation of structural analysis, task delegation, coordination and execution of analysis, development and integration of analysis in accordance with engineering process specifications and program needs. Ensure designs adhere to LM Common Integrated Processes as documented in Command Media, and drive process improvement into the analysis culture. Provide solution based technical mentoring to improve program performance and to drive error free design using proven tools, processes and predictive measures.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Work collaboratively with the program and functional senior leadership to manage staffing requirements and plan job assignments and rotations to sustain engineering capabilities and critical skills; and drive performance management, career development, and personnel related activities
• Ensure standard technical processes and tools, and training are available and properly implemented
• Handle aspects of product quality reviews.
• Some travel will be required.
Basic Qualifications:• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional product development team environment
• Fundamental understanding of aerospace vehicle structures, mechanisms, thermal products, materials and processes
• Experience with aerospace vehicle flight hardware design, analysis, manufacture, or test and integration
• Demonstrated leadership experience - minimally as acting manager, technical lead, or project manager
• Experience with all aspects of Structural analysis to include Stress or Dynamics
• Active Secret Clearance from the DoD; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS Clearance
Desired Skills:• Proficient with Structural modeling software to include NX/NASTRAN, LsDyna, Wave6, and equivalent
• Experience leading Missile Structural Analysis
• Considered a technical leader in mechanical analysis
• Previous experience planning and allocating tasks, managing cost accounts
• Demonstrated full spectrum leadership competencies including communicating with positive impact, developing enduring relationships, making effective decisions, delivering value, building organizational talent, and being accountable.
• Familiarity with the FBM Program
• Active TS Clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
