Job Summary

The Senior Vice President (SVP), People Experiences, Technology & Product will serve as the lead Human Resources Business Partner to the Technology &a Product Organization. The ideal candidate will lead the HR strategy and operations for a dynamic and rapidly evolving tech organization with a large global workforce and one that supports multiple business units like the Global Product Organization, the Global Technology Organization, Comcast Cybersecurity Organization, Wireless Network and Emerging Technology Organization, Reliability and Portfolio Management, and Comcast Technology Solutions. This senior leader should be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of technology industry trends, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving organizational change and talent management. This position will oversee a unique ecosystem that brings People, Project & Change Management, Business Intelligence, and Talent Management & Career Engagement together to fuel a culture of innovation. The role reports to the EVP HR C&P directly and indirectly to the President of Technology & Product.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to the President of Technology & Product and their direct reports on all people-related matters, including the development and implementation of HR strategies to support the business objectives of the Product & Technology organization through organizational design, workforce planning, reward and engagement initiatives, leadership development, change management, and labor and employee relations. 
  • Talent Management: Using the established Plan of Record (POR) / tools / platforms and products of the company as a base line, lead talent management initiatives within the President of Technology & Product’s organization, including succession planning, performance management, talent reviews, and development programs to build a strong leadership pipeline and ensure a high-performing workforce.   
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Partner with leaders to design and implement organizational structures, processes, and culture initiatives that optimize a focus on data-led decisioning with transparency, efficiency, collaboration, and employee engagement. 
  • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with finance and business leaders to develop and execute workforce plans that align with business strategy and ensure the right talent is in place to achieve business objectives.  
  • Change Management: Lead and support change management initiatives related to organizational restructuring, new technology implementations, and other business transformations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption to the business. 
  • Labor and Employee Relations: Provide guidance and counsel to managers on complex labor and employee relations issues, ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures and minimizing risk to the organization.  Partner with Labor team on employee disputes and collective bargaining negotiations. 
  • Performance Management: Drive the performance management process within the organization, ensuring alignment with company goals and providing coaching and support to managers on effective performance management practices. 
  • Compensation and Benefits: Partner with the Compensation and Benefits team to ensure competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. 
  • HR Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR programs, and provide insights to business leaders to inform decision-making. 
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. 

Required Skills Sets

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s/Professional degree preferred.    
  • Minimum of 15 + years of progressive HR experience; technology sector experience a plus.  
  • Travel within U.S. to Comcast tech hubs and outside of the U.S. to Comcast operations in Europe and Asia. 
  • Prior experience as a P&L HRBP of a large business unit is desirable. 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large, complex organizations with globally dispersed teams, preferably in the telecommunications, technology, or service industries. 
  • Strong understanding of all HR functional areas, including talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. 
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and act as a trusted advisor. 
  • Ability to act decisively and independently in situations requiring quick analysis and the application of sound judgement based on knowledge and past experience  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking and influencing skills. 
  • Excellent strategic and analytical skills combined with creativity to produce innovative value propositions for Comcast 
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR tech stacks generally to influence and manage end use (as opposed to constructing architecture).  Workday is preferrable.
