About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant for the Global Sanctions Office (GSO)'s Model Governance, Analytics, and Data Quality staff within Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM). The GSO is the business owner for the enterprise platform used to screen transactions and customer records for sanctions targets, politically exposed persons, and other parties. The Model Governance, Analytics, and Data Quality staff has primary responsibility for model risk over the sanctions screening ecosystem at Wells Fargo.

In this role, you will:- Manage existing quantitative models with peer analytical consultants and contribute to the development of new quantitative models that govern the sanctions screening platforms' configurations in use by Wells Fargo.
- Become an expert in the details of the platforms' capabilities and provide insight into possible enhancements as well as responding to requests for information based on this subject matter expertise.
- Ensure that deadlines are met for key model risk management deliverables, including ongoing performance monitoring, documentation updates and requests, model risk findings, and requirements development.
- Analyze complex data sets requiring sanctions compliance knowledge to identify trends, create written or visualization-based analytical products, and escalate possible risks to GSO senior management.
- Work with Technology and operational staffs to execute testing and performance monitoring and coordinate the analysis and implementation of changes to the platforms.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- 2 years of sanctions compliance or BSA/AML experience
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding USA PATRIOT Act and Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements
- Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- Experience developing and managing quantitative or qualitative models for risk management in a large financial institution
- Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used in statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting
- 4 years of SQL programming or data querying experience
- Knowledge and understanding of data visualization applications and techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
