Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Quality Systems Specialist (Level 4) to support the Ground Systems in Colorado Springs, CO!

A senior-level Quality Specialist will develop and maintain the Colorado Springs Ground Systems Quality Management System, lead process councils, prepare and present quality metrics, promote continuous improvement, primary support to coordinate the AS9100 audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements.  This position will be 100% on site.  Communication and organizational skills are key as this position will work with the Quality team and Management.

Position Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace Standard (AS9100) or ISO9001 clauses and requirements to maintain its compliance
  • Lead the maintenance of a compliant COS Quality Management System and Aerospace Standard (AS9100) through the support of audits
  • Support issue resolution, metrics and develop common checklists
  • Support management reviews
  • Perform benchmarking of Enterprise and industry best practices 
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system.  This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study
  • 3+ years Quality / AS9100 or ISO9001/ Quality Processes
  • Excellent organization skills, communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous work in aerospace, manufacturing, quality or another highly regulated industry
  • AS9100 or ISO9001 Internal Auditor experience
  • Experience working multiple projects

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $100,300 – $135,700
