Kuwait F/A-18 JRBNO Logistics/Liaison Support

This position is located at JRB New Orleans LA

This position provides technical and logistic support services for integration and sustainment planning for the Kuwait F/A-18 Super Hornet Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program in Lexington Park, MD. Specific duties include but are not limited to performing logistics and program duties using computer, and other associated equipment. The Candidate will directly support the USG Government Ground Flight Representative (GGFR), Government Flight Representative and will liaison with the contractor Maintenance staff on a daily basis.

Note: This is not a remote position and will requires the candidate to be on site 5 days a week.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Performs oversite for Maintenance Control and other tasks as directed or assigned

  • Screens completed work orders for correct entries and data. Maintain Aircraft Discrepancy Book (ADB) in accordance with OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series.

  • Provides oversite of the daily flight schedule and configuration requirements with duty and applicable work centers.

  • Provides oversite on Daily/Turnaround and special inspections as well as component and hi-time requirements to ensure aircraft are current for the flight schedule.

  • Provides oversite on Maintain aircraft and aeronautical equipment to continuously support the assigned readiness posture outlined in in the activities plan and daily flight schedule.

  • Provides oversite on Aircraft maintenance action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means.

  • Read and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

  • Assists with requisition repair parts, materials, and consumable supplies through supply system.

  • Oversees the correct use of tools and equipment required to accomplish assigned tasks efficiently, properly, and safely.

  • Serves as liaison to ensure proper coordination of support efforts and availability of required information.

  • Ensures work progress is accurately documented on non-routine or routine paperwork to include stamps, signatures, and references per local SOPs.

  • Ensures the proper maintenance and control of aircraft visibility work boards, which indicate work remaining and work in progress.

  • Review estimates for all non-routine maintenance documents and communicates any major defects or findings to Management.

  • Document, report, and investigates all accidents in accordance with established policy and procedures.

  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures regarding all department functions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration. Experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Six plus years of aviation maintenance support experience is required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

  • Must have the ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.

  • Must understand COMSEC requirements

  • Must understand Carriage Activated Devices (CAD)/Propellant Actuated Devices (PAD) requirements.

  • Must be familiar with duties assigned to personnel within all work centers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an Aviation Maintenance Supervisory role and experience as a Maintenance Officer or senior maintenance NCO responsible for Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP).

  • Extensive knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) with experience supporting F/A-18 E/F aircraft.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

  • 40 hours/week
