Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Software Engineer to join our team supporting critical USAF software development initiatives. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust CI/CD pipelines for complex software systems within a cloud environment. You will work closely with development teams to implement agile methodologies and ensure seamless software delivery while adhering to stringent cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable CI/CD pipelines for USAF software systems.
  • Implement and optimize build automation, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Integrate automated security tools and practices into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and optimize Agile software development methodologies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on containerization technologies, specifically Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Design and implement solutions using a microservices architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to CI/CD pipelines and software deployments.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and implement metrics to monitor and improve pipeline performance and efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in CI/CD, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

Qualification:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for complex software systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated services.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Expertise in automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired:

  • Experience with DoD software development processes and standards.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Experience with automated security testing tools.
