Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership and direction in the Excellence in Operations (XOC) department that monitors, repairs, and maintains network infrastructure. Creates and ensures adherence to department procedures, processes, and policies. Develops collaborative relationships with people across a variety of areas within, and external to, the organization. Drives change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results. Creates business strategy to focus on strengths, competitive advantage, and differentiation. Incorporates broad knowledge to address complex, unusual, and critical issues. Develops long-term plans that impact the achievement of business results. Recognizes profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities. Demonstrates leadership versatility.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partners with peer departments (Engineering, Head End/Systems Integration/Critical Infrastructure, TPX, Field Operations, TCOE, Care and CB) to exceed service and network reliability standards while driving operational efficiencies.

  • Tactically ensures service reliability, network implementation and installation of products and services aligned with Company’s Business Units strategies.

  • Works with staff to recruit and retain top talent.

  • Manages self and team to establish expense targets and service quality metrics.

  • Drives people development and a strong talent pipeline across the XOC.

  • Leads new technology implementations and manages the enhancement of existing infrastructure projects. Develop and mentor the team towards career development and advancement.

  • Creates and maintains SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for Infrastructure Operations and maintains technology operations and build documentation. Identifies operational bottlenecks in the systems and provides solutions to address them.

  • Drives change success throughout the organization – Divisionally and Regionally – ensuring that our customer experience is second to none.

  • Works closely with Divisional and HQ peers to determine where automation can assist in driving efficiency.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and reviews budget materials for the department.

  • Manages ongoing reporting against budget and plan objectives.

  • Identifies and executes opportunities to improve processes and reporting.

  • Analyzes and communicates weekly metrics, monthly results, and quarterly/annual projections.

  • Analyzes and communicates risks and opportunities.

  • Develops monitoring processes for all services, network performance, network maintenance, telecommunications maintenance, facilities management, CMTS’s and overall network performance/reliability.

  • Assures proper tracking and reporting of network-related measurements including network health reports, post-mortem of outages, outage reports, headend reports, trending reports/analysis, and management/operating summaries.

  • Consistent exercise of consistent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights, weekends and variable schedule(s) as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • Education Level – Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.

  • Generally requires 15+ years of related experience.

  • Experience in driving consistent operational excellence across multiple geographic areas.

  • Demonstrated performance of directing and managing diverse teams.

  • Experience and demonstrated success with training and coaching others on performance enhancement and process improvement methods.

  • Successful experience in operational leadership roles encompassing plant management (XPM, HFC, Storm Mode, etc.), operations planning and continuous improvement with strong business acumen and financial management.

  • Solid and dynamic leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate.

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: $242,065.28 - $363,097.92
