Your opportunity
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
As part of the broader Employee Experience organization, our team is focused on reducing the amount of time that candidates and employees spend navigating complexity, so they can focus on doing work that matters. We do so by delivering simple and intuitive digital experiences.
As a Product Manager in Talent Acquisition and Development, you will own the TA and Development products (e.g., iCIMS, IQN, Workday, among others) and call upon your previous HR technology and process knowledge to define, implement, enhance, and manage HR solutions, products and technologies. You recognize that, first and foremost, knowing and understanding the user and their needs is key. You also understand how to gather and analyze functional requirements, apply agile product development principles, collaborate across the organizational spectrum, and communicate in both technical and business terms. Additionally, you think about the end-to-end employee experience and play a key role in prioritizing what we offer and why.
Key Outcomes:
- Partnering with various business areas and IT to evaluate how best to use Talent Acquisition and Development technology to meet evolving business requirements and deliver the best digital employee experience
- Facilitating and managing the delivery of HR technology projects and programs
- Working with business groups and users to understand, refine, and prioritize business requirements
- Gathering functional requirements and translating those into documented user stories, refining and maintaining the product backlog, and serving as the liaison between business teams and the development team
- Developing and owning the product roadmap, assessing new features, making recommendations, stakeholder management and driving new feature adoption.
- Driving effective outcomes by aligning business goals with HR technology capabilities.
- Developing and supporting user acceptance testing for feature, user story and functional delivery
- Supporting ongoing process improvement activities to bring greater efficiency to HR technology processes
- Developing training materials and imparting information through a train-the-trainer approach
- Maintaining an unwavering focus on the employee and candidate experience and needs, the reasons why the product was created and how it's being used, whether it's the right product and how it can be improved upon
- Managing user group/product communities (members, connections, interdependencies, measures)
