The Role
The Director of Financial Services will direct and oversee the quality and performance of all functions specific to WHR accounts receivable, cash application, and billing teams. The position will set forth goals and objectives, develop procedures, and drive change in existing processes in order to achieve WHR’s goals and objectives. The position will track and analyze performance metrics to help formulate strategies to maximize cash flow, reduce days sales outstanding, minimize unapplied/unidentified cash, drive franchisee engagement with our online invoicing and payment platform, and implement new processes to drive efficiencies. The position is also a primary resource for ensuring SOX compliance, including key areas such as write-off’s and monthly cash reconciliations. The position will be involved in the escalation of collection issues and be required to work with franchisees to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes. The Director will also manage all aspects of daily and monthly cash reporting, Salesforce reporting and dashboards, department scorecard, past due/payment reminder distribution, and restriction/default processes The position is responsible for reviewing and approving all development advance note applications. In addition, the position will be a key change agent responsible for continually seeking and implementing process improvements.
What you'll do
- Track and analyze performance metrics to help formulate strategies to maximize cash flow, reduce days sales outstanding, minimize unapplied/unidentified cash, and drive franchisee engagement with our online invoicing and payment platform.
- Handle escalated collection calls and address franchisee concerns aiming to achieve mutually agreeable solutions.
- Identify and implement process improvements on a continuous basis. Participate in various systems testing. Support VP of Finance through various Ad Hoc requests/special projects as required.
- Manage and distribute past due notices and payment reminders for franchisees. Collaborate with other departments and engage with franchisees to drive franchisee utilization of WHRs online invoicing and payment platform.
- Manage Salesforce reports/dashboards to facilitate efficient department processes (e.g. collection calls, unapplied cash, etc.). Compile and distribute department receivable and cash reports to Sr. Management.

Required Qualifications/Experience
- College degree.
- 7+ years professional experience in accounting / finance/ hotel operations.
- Degree in Accounting /Finance.
- High-level of proficiency with MS Excel, including advanced formulas.
- Knowledge of creating and editing Salesforce reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of Power Automate, or other automation software is a plus.
- 5+ years Managerial experience.
