What does a successful SME do?
The SME (Subject Matter Expert) plays a critical role in managing the entire lifecycle of the VisionPlus system, from ideation and requirement gathering to design, testing, and successful production deployment. You will collaborate with key business clients and engineering groups to drive end-to-end solutions, ensuring that projects align with Fiserv’s strategic goals.
What you will do
- Lead the implementation of regulatory and compliance changes, and oversee production support and incident management.
- Consult with business partners to identify challenges and propose systems solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with various groups to gather, document, and negotiate business requirements.
- Manage the development and delivery of business cases, requirements documents, and test plans.
- Act as the primary liaison during the development lifecycle, from needs analysis to UAT and rollout.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to align IT solutions with business goals and priorities.
- Execute independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and architectures for obtaining effective solutions.
- Ensure alignment of line of business priorities with IT capabilities and manage project budgets.
- Analyse and document requirements, ensuring traceability and communication aligned with the overall business vision.
- Provide maintenance and development support for the VisionPlus application systems.
What you will need to have:
- Minimum of 6 years of VisionPlus application support and/or development experience.
- Strong programming skills in COBOL, with proficiency in the IBM mainframe environment, including CICS and VSAM/IAM.
- Familiarity with software design and development methodologies.
- A foundational understanding of the credit card industry, including issuing and acquiring processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with a focus on building credible relationships across teams.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in CICS configuration and parametrization, MRO (Multi-Region) architecture
- Fluency in Italian
- Experience with Java programming and web technologies like Angular or HTML5.
- Familiarity with ZOS DB2 database management and project management tools like JIRA.
- Understanding of mainframe ZOS environment, including JCL and scheduling tools such as CA-7, Control-M, or OPC.
- Background in SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) for enterprise-level IT systems implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
