Lead Program Planning & Control Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Program Planning & Control Analyst job duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of billable contracts in the accounting system (Costpoint) to ensure consistency with the contracts and support of the Program Management’s contract performance reporting requirements
  • Develop plans, budgets and schedules, to meet contractual/project requirements for multiple contracts with a variety of contract types, such as FFP, CPFF, CPAF, T&M, as well as hybrids
  • Develop financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements
  • Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met
  • Produce Cost reports and CDRLs to distribute to customers & internal management
  • Conduct variance analysis of actuals vs baseline
  • Support accounts receivable as required during the monthly billing process
  • Review and approve Monthly invoices and validate revenue
  • Generate reports of Quarterly revenue, profit, and direct labor projections by contract by person
  • Initiate funding alerts to the subcontracts administrator for all contracts assigned
  • Review subcontractor/vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Assist in the investigations and resolution of AR invoice issues
  • Lead in the pricing of labor, travel, and materials for various types of contracts and proposals

Work Environment:

  • Location: Remote (Colorado Springs), preferably mountain time zone
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel, 1 -2 times per year
  • Working Hours: Standard 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related discipline
  • 8 or more years of related experience in performing related financial analysis work
  • Familiarity with financial accounting close process as it related to U.S. GAAP
  • Familiarity with Government cost accounting standards (CAS), as they relate to timekeeping, allowable cost, allocation of cost
  • Excellent business acumen and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced Excel skills

Desired:

Experience with CostPoint 8, Cognos, and Cobra

Basic Compensation: 

$129- 180k

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. 

Additional Compensation: 

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
