What does a successful Senior Tax Analyst do at Fiserv?
As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will develop and gain valuable indirect tax experience. Your success in this role will pave the way for a fantastic career track. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing sales and use tax returns.
What you will do?
- Timely and accurately prepare and review sales and use tax returns. This will include a monthly review of sales tax data and use tax accruals to verify their validity, e-filing returns, processing tax payments, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in completing assigned tax audits while representing the interest of the business to state and local taxing authorities to ensure the minimization of audit deficiencies.
- Assist in determination of sales/use tax taxability of transactions including assistance to domestic business units regarding tax issues.
- Identity and assist with implementation of tax planning opportunities, process efficiencies, quality improvements, and risk minimization strategies.
- Monitor current and proposed state tax laws and regulations to identify and assess impact on Fiserv.
- Work on incentive projects including aggregating and calculating relevant data from Payroll, Human Resources and Real Estate departments.
- Will be part of a project team obtaining credits & incentives and ensuring compliance to monetize optimal incentive results.
What you will need to have:
- 4+ years’ of tax experience and/or tax preparing and reviewing sales and use tax returns including reconciliations
- Bachelor’s degree
What would be great to have:
- Experience in researching complex tax issues to make taxability determinations.
- Experience in conducting tax audits and interacting with tax authorities.
- Experience in tax process improvement initiatives leveraging technology
- Proficient in MS Office and strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of Vertex Sales and Use Tax Returns Software
- SAP Experience
