Who You Are
The roles and responsibility of a project manager in construction is to make sure that the work scope, and project is completed in a quality manner, using budget and on time. The construction project manager has primary responsibility for providing leadership in planning, organizing and controlling the work effort to accomplish the construction project objectives. The construction project manager provides the leadership to project team to accomplish the construction project objective. The project manager coordinates the activities of various team members to ensure that they perform the right tasks at the proper time, as a cohesive group.
This role is expected to be 100% onsite.
What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager, Construction, you will:
- Developing detailed project plans, ensuring resources are available and timelines are feasible.
- Budgeting and cost management to keep the project within the financial constraints.
- Contract administration including negotiation and oversight of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Quality control checks to deliver projects that meet all the agreed specifications.
- Leading and motivating a multidisciplinary project team, and resolving conflicts.
- Ensuring all legal, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly observed.
- Reporting regularly on the project status to executives and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a US TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
- Must have seven or more years of related construction or project manager experience.
- Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a project manager.
- Project management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management and project scheduling.
