Currently, we are seeking a systems engineer to support the Terrestrial Layer System (TLS) Program.
The successful candidate will be involved in performing system integration, verification/validation, supportability and effectiveness of the various products on TLS. They will be someone who can be a self starter, have solid problem solving skills that require minimal oversight, and provide solutions to integration and testing needs.

• Developing test plans / procedures
• Perform integration and test activities
• Developing/Running test automation scenarios
• Troubleshooting integration issues
Who You Are:
The qualified candidate will have experience working in an Agile scrum development environment. Ideally, the candidate will have some experience with SDRs, DSP, and the RF domain, and if not should have an interest in these concepts.
These roles are largely team based and successful engineers in our organization are able to work and communicate to not only their scrum teams, but also program leadership. The candidate should be comfortable presenting and demonstrating capabilities to both internal and external Customers. For this role, we are looking for a person who will be able to support multiple efforts and is a self-starter.
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, but it is not required to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelors degree from an accredited college with 9 years of professional experience, 7 years of professional experience with a Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Systems Engineering lifecycle knowledge from requirements decomposition all the way through verification and transition to operations.
• Experience with Software and/or hardware test and integration
• Experience generating Test Plans and Procedures
• Experience with Test Automation
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, Bash)
• Experience working on agile-based teams, processes and tools (ex. Jira or Version One)
Desired Skills:• Knowledge with requirements management tools, such as DOORs.
• Experience with Model-based System Engineering tools (Cameo or Rhapsody)
• Working knowledge of SDR (Software Defined Radios) / RF (radio frequency).
• Strong background of programming languages, including C, C++, Python, C#, and Java
• Active TS or TS/SCI Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
