Leidos Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is seeking a Chief Data & Analytics Officer to join our Chief Information Office (CIO) organization located in Reston, VA.
The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) reports into the Digital Modernization Sector and collaborates across organizational lines to deliver effective, enabling digital capabilities to our global employee base. The OCIO team develops, deploys, and manages innovative digital capabilities leveraging industry-leading partnerships and cost-effective deployment and management models. The OCIO is seeking leaders to drive efficient capability delivery and management, more opportunities for innovation, and facilitate data-driven decisions across the enterprise.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact position responsible for establishing effective and pragmatic enterprise data frameworks and capabilities with a focus on delivering truly differentiated data products that drive efficiencies and optimize value. As Chief Data & Analytics officer you will provide strategic direction on how to articulate the Leidos differentiated data message within the organization and industry. Additionally, you will operationalize a team that delivers outcomes-focused and forward-thinking automation and AI-enabled capabilities. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional to join a CIO team that values innovation, speed, efficiency, and deep collaboration.
Core Responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
Lead and oversee the implementation of data related capabilities in line with the OCIO’s five-year technology roadmap
Identify and pursue innovative and comprehensive data strategies that complement Leidos’ AI strategies and meets Sector/business area needs
Continuously lean forward into testing and deploying emerging tech that can augment current capabilities and demonstrate a strong Customer Zero position
Codify, implement, champion and continuously evolve the Leidos enterprise data strategy
Business Alignment & Collaboration:
Cultivate enduring and effective relationships with Office of Technology (OOT), Sector/Business Areas, and OCIO peers to develop, analyze, and optimize Leidos’ data and analytics services and products
Foster collaboration and strategic alignment across Sector/Business Areas to create integrated solutions and support business needs
Operational Excellence & People Development:
Drive data-informed decision making and operational efficiencies across the enterprise
Simplify the existing data architecture by delivering reusable services and optimizing resource utilization
Leverage multiple components centralized under the new Chief Data and Analytics Office to build and mentor a high-performing team. These include, governance, data architects, data engineers, business data owners, AI-enabled/GenAI/workflow/RPA trained developers, data products with data lineage, catalog, master data management, and use cases
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 20+ years or bachelor’s degree and at least 22 years of experience with excellent technical credentials in fields relevant to the Leidos business (e.g., digital modernization, cybersecurity, mission software systems, integrated systems, mission operations, and artificial intelligence/machine learning).
15+ years developing deep, emerging technologies and deploying those technologies for meaningful business impact at an enterprise scale.
Data product definition, development, and deployment.
Expertise in attracting, retaining, and developing highly skilled technical talent, inspiring a highly technical team, and growing an innovative technology organization.
Demonstrated success in coordinating across technical and business teams to persuade, coordinate, and develop executive-level content in a collegial and efficient manner; and
Experience with briefings to senior leaders (e.g., ELT, Board of Directors, high-level customers) and public facing communications on technology topics (e.g., interviews, panel discussions, and fireside chats).
US citizenship and ability to obtain clearance, based on program need, is required.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $216,800.00 - $348,750.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
