IT Helpdesk Support
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our team Critical Infrastructure and Protection (CIP) Operating Unit. CIP provides expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and Utilities/Control Systems for the DoD, FAA, and Federal Law Enforcement.
Job Summary: This position involves providing technical support to our Secure Facility Operations, Maintenance and Security (SFOMS) program located at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to internal users of desktop applications and hardware.
- Answer questions related to procedures, transactions, and system status.
- Interact with network services and application developers to restore service, usability, and identify problems.
- Perform routine assignments under direct supervision.
- Develop core job competencies by solving standard problems using existing procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities and resolutions.
- Assist in training users on new systems and applications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must possess an active Secret and ultimately a Top Secret clearance for long-term employment.
- Undergraduate degree or 4-8 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- This position requires on-site presence to support our customer base.
Compensation:
Salary range: $66,240 - $99,360. The salary range posted is for Washington, DC location. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
