We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager (Level 4) to join our F-35 team in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you will provide leadership, functional management, and technical direction to a team of represented employees supporting engineering research, continuous improvement, corrective action, and production support.
This is a 2nd shift position requiring a dynamic leader who can balance line-of-business (LOB) needs, respond to emerging issues, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Leadership & Functional Management
• Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Planners, providing technical oversight and mentorship.
• Oversee cost, schedule, technical, risk, and opportunity management, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Develop and implement standard technical processes, tools, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Engineering & Production Support
• Provide engineering support to multiple manufacturing areas across the F-35 build and, as needed, to other programs and sites.
• Ensure timely issue investigation, resolution, and design change efforts to maintain production efficiency.
• Lead investigation teams and report on technical anomalies, ensuring effective corrective action plans.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Planning
• Develop A3 corrective action plans and drive process improvements through verification planning and analysis.
• Grow the team’s technical capabilities to meet current and future enterprise needs, focusing on knowledge transfer and mentoring.
• Support major program reviews, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Manufacturing Planning Leadership
• Manage a team of Manufacturing Planners executing Liaison and Office Planning Tasks across all F-35 production areas.
• Establish and maintain a daily/weekly business rhythm for the planning team, ensuring seamless execution of priorities.
• Provide planning support during weekends and holidays as needed, integrating efforts across Engineering, Production Operations, and Material Management.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with standard Manufacturing Planning processes and procedures.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering blueprints &/or drawings.
• Experience with developing schedules, managing and maintaining budgets, &/or resource requirements.
• Experience leading &/or prioritizing the daily activities.
• Experience resolving complex technical challenges requiring integration with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
• Possesses a basic understanding of FLEMOS principles; demonstrated leadership engagement practices.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal and external customers.
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with the F-35 program, including its structure, processes, and stakeholders.
• Skills and experience in using Microsoft suite products.
• Knowledgeable of Manufacturing Engineering Software Systems (CAPPS, IMPACTs, SFM, EWI, QADS) and related systems and tools (PDM, VAS,SAP, Tableau).
• Familiarity with the F-35: Manufacturing Bill Of Materials (MBOM), Engineering, assembly process, and planning structure.
• Candidate should be a self-starter with a proven record of working well with multi-discipline engineering team(s), manufacturing engineering teams, as well as production operations, Quality, PC, and all other support function.
• Experience with international business and export control issues (international planning specific).
• Should have broad range of experience related to engineering, material management, and manufacturing to ensure success.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to define and track meaningful metrics.
• Proven record of making sound decisions in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide team members in using data to inform decision-making.
• Experience in preparation and delivery of technical presentations to internal and/or external customers.
• Able to lead and prioritize the daily activities.
• High level of accountability and a proven track record of meeting commitments.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
