Lockheed Martin Corporate Technology Office (CTO) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Engineering Intern to join the Technology Collaboration team for Summer 2025. With an emphasis on speed and tangible results, this role sits within the Technology Collaboration team whose charter is to work collaboratively with Fortune 100 firms and across the enterprise to accelerate development of discriminating and far-reaching capabilities needed to enable Lockheed Martin's 21st Century Security technology strategy.
The Research Engineering intern will assist the Technology Collaboration team with performing technology and product capability research across the aerospace and defense industry as well new technology being developed by commercial companies, and developing software applications that help the team track, update and display commercial collaborations across the company in a more efficient manner.
As a Research Engineering Intern on the Technology Collaboration team, your daily responsibilities will include:
· Developing software applications to drive efficiency in tracking, updating, and displaying commercial collaborations across the company
· Performing data analytics to inform technology collaboration projects and identify areas for improvement
· Completing technical research assignments to help shape technology collaboration projects and identify new opportunities for innovation
· Participating in the design, development, and testing of software applications, and assisting in the resolution of technical problems
Basic Qualifications:· Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
· Experience with either Python, R, Java, VSCode, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jupyter Notebooks, Command Terminal, or C
· Must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills:· Strong communication skills (written and verbal), strong team leadership, administrative and interpersonal skills
· Able to work independently or as a member of a team

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $29,598 - $64,168. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
