Job Description
NBCUniversal is looking for a Manager, Security Operations, to join our Global Security Operations team in Stamford, CT! In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will work alongside television professionals and talent while maintaining the overall safety of the site, its employees, show guests, and audience members.
In this role, you will oversee and coordinate security for Stamford Studios. You will maintain the overall safety of the site, employees, show guests, and audience members. You will report directly to the VP, Studio Security/Universal City.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and secure work environment for all NBCUniversal employees, contractors, visitors, and 3rd party tenants by following and enforcing all NBCUniversal Corporate Security policies
- Liaise with local, state and federal law enforcement, government agencies and investigators for all security emergencies and incidents on the Stamford Studios Property.
- Maintain Operational oversight for the contract guard force at Stamford Studios. Review training and incident management for the guards.
- Oversee emergency evacuation procedures, active shooter trainings, site surveys, and threat assessments
- Manage access control for employees, contractors, 3rd Parties and vendors
- Develop strong work relationships with internal and external businesses at Stamford Studios
- Coordinate the onboarding process of guests for live TV that may need special assistance accessing NBCU space
- Ensure the process of loading and unloading live studio audiences is consistent with our GSO policies and safety standards
- Document all security incidents that take place at Stamford Studios, and initiate preliminary investigation of incidents that occur, escalate as appropriate and support the investigation team as needed.
- Serve as the security point of contact for Stamford Studios
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in law enforcement, military, corporate security, and/or a related role
- Prior roles requiring collaboration with local, state and federal law enforcement and other government agencies
- Willing to be on call and available 24/7 for emergencies
- Willing to travel as needed
Desired Characteristics
- Experience conducting sensitive, confidential investigations
- Experience coordinating and implementing strategies and plans for large scale event security
- Experience working in a multi-agency, collaborative environment
- Experience in a supervisory role for staff or contracted employees
- Experience managing a budget and working with vendors
- You have an understanding and demonstrate proficiency in industry access control and surveillance technology; to include Lenel and Genetec
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior television production or corporate security experience
- Established project management skills and experience
- Strong working knowledge and experience in the areas, industry, and emerging trends of corporate security and/or law enforcement information managerial programs
- Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, dealing effectively with all levels of management
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
