About The Team
Clover's Cloud Platform Engineering team is the heart of our engineering ecosystem, responsible for building and maintaining scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems that support our mission to provide seamless, customer-centric experiences across our Point of Sale platform.
What You Will Do
Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 Platform Engineers spanning Senior to Staff+ levels
Collaborate with infrastructure, quality, and release teams to design scalable service platforms
Work closely with application teams to understand requirements and drive platform evolution
Establish technical vision balancing short and long-term goals
Foster a culture of engineering excellence and team empowerment
Scale systems through automation to improve reliability and development velocity
Oversee team projects from inception to completion
Lead blameless postmortems to ensure thorough incident remediation
What You Will Need To Have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
8+ years of industry experience in Software Engineering
2+ years of experience in engineering leadership
Strong programming experience in Java, Python, Go, or C++
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Ability to manage complex technological ecosystems
