Who we’re looking for

The Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (TMCC) Academy is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Instructional Designer. The Senior Instructional Designer is the primary experience designer for learning experiences across Toyota Financial Services. This role requires a strategic thinker and collaborative partner who can assess, design, develop, and execute a variety of learning experiences that drive business goals.

Our ideal candidate applies the latest research and knowledge in instructional design and learning theory to create engaging, memorable, and outcome-driven learning. This role will also serve as a program facilitator within the TMCC Academy. Reporting to the Enterprise Growth and Development Manager, the person in this role will support the Academy’s objective to drive a culture of learning and continuous growth for our team members.

What you’ll be doing

•    Own the end-to-end life cycle of learning deliverables, from needs analysis to script and storyboard creation, development of deliverables, marketing and communications, and evaluation
•    Partner with business functions, SMEs, and stakeholders to create instructional design strategies that meet business learning objectives
•    Use data analytics, learner feedback, and research in learning theory to evaluate the effectiveness of learning products and identify areas of improvement
•    Coordinate the scheduling of training programs, including logistics planning, managing run-of-shows, and supporting day-of production and/or facilitation
•    Leverage new methodologies and modalities to identify opportunities for innovation
•    Work collaboratively with an agile learning team, managing project timelines to deliver timely and quality products

What you bring
•    Bachelor’s degree required (BA or BS) or equivalent experience 
•    5+ years of relevant work experience as an instructional/learning designer, curriculum developer, or a similar role
•    Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles, models, and theories and emerging learning technologies
•    Demonstrated experience creating learning strategies and curricula through needs analysis and stakeholder discussions
•    Experience collaborating with SMEs, stakeholders, and team members
•    Demonstrated large-group facilitation experience

Added bonus if you have
•    Advanced Degree. Specifically: Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, Education, Organizational Development, or similar 
•    Proficiency with content authoring tools (Articulate Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Vyond, and similar platforms)
•    Experience designing assessments and evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs
•    Experience working with agile/scrum methodology
