Description:You will be the CNC Machine Control Technician.
From ultra-precision machining and additive manufacturing to the development and production of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) utilizes the latest capabilities in manufacturing to produce some of the world's most advanced weapon and sensor technology.
What You Will Be Doing
As a CNC Machine Mechanic your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• troubleshooting and repairing a variety of CNC and multi-purpose electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems for industrial equipment.
• Studying the interrelation of the various controlling circuits and plan tests for the individual control circuits and components.
• Conducting a series of involved functional and operational tests.
• Repairing machine through necessary cycles to check electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems (Mazak/ 5 axis/ 6 axis machines).
• Making critical adjustments, throughout the tests, in the values and settings of the components and the related equipment in order to properly align and tune highly sensitive inter-related circuits and electro-mechanical systems.
• Analyzing results of the tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction.
• Replacing, or directing the replacement of faulty parts and/or wiring of the unit and retesting the system or systems as necessary.
• Installing electronic and/or electro-mechanical equipment of the complexity described above;
• Performing periodic maintenance on this type of equipment.
• Modifying existing electronic and/or electro-mechanical control systems or combinations of systems to incorporate latest designs and/or to include new functions within the control of the system;
• Establishing arrangement and location of components to eliminate electronic interference and provide for ease of maintenance.
• Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts in accordance to the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW. Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to maintain and repair a variety of precision CNC multipurpose electronic control systems for industrial equipment.
• Must be able to read schematics, wiring diagrams,
performance specifications, and machine operating manuals to become familiar with the design and operating requirements of multi-purpose electronic and or electro-mechanical control systems.
• Able to troubleshoot and determine cause, then make necessary repairs as required.
• This position is second shift (2:30 pm to 12:00 am Monday through Thursday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm on Friday with every other Friday off) but you must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift when required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
• Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be considered
Desired Skills:
• 5 years of related experience. 2 year Technical degree or equivalent in related discipline.
• Prior experience with machine repair such as: determining causes of malfunctions, replacing faulty parts, installing electronic and/or electro-mechanical equipment, testing control circuits and components, setting up a variety of highly sensitive, precision electronic test tools and equipment,
modifying and updating existing electronic and/or electromechanical control systems or combination of systems to include new functions and latest designs, repairing multi-axis machines.
• Experience with Mazak mills and lathes, Mitsui Seiki mills, Hass milling machines.
• Experience with Tecport coating chamber, Hoffman polisher, computer controls such as Mitsubishi, Fanuc.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
