Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the technical capability of the Client’s Design Authority. This role will be suited to engineers with experience in Electrical Design, although candidates experienced in Electrical Installation or Maintenance are also welcomed.

What Do We Need

  • Broad experience in electrical engineering, preferably with experience of some of the following electrical systems: HV/MV distribution, LV distribution, protection systems, C&I systems, electrical machines including synchronous motor, frequency changers, diesel alternators. 

  • Experience of working within the nuclear industry or any other high hazard industry, although this is not considered essential. 

  • Ability to provide practical, creative and cost-effective solutions for design changes / modifications of plant and supporting Infrastructure. 

  • A good understanding of British and international design standards. 

Qualifications

HNC or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant engineering discipline.

Detailed knowledge of the Design Intent for Electrical Infrastructure.

Location

Duties will be split between the office in Glasgow City Centre and the Client site in Helensburgh.

SC Clearance

Due to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.
