Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
As a Carpentry Intern, you will assist in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. You will work on a variety of projects, including building frameworks, doors, windows, stairs, and cabinetry, as well as remodeling and renovation work. You will help read blueprints and technical drawings, measure and cut materials to precise specifications, and use various hand and power tools to complete tasks. Additionally, you will assist in the installation of drywall, insulation, and flooring. This role requires problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong physical stamina to manage the demands of the job.
Roles and Responsibilities
Report to and receive assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.
Read and interpret instructions and documentation to plan work activities.
Assist in moving materials and equipment to work locations and setting up work sites.
Help prepare materials and build and erect a broad range of structures in support of plant construction and maintenance activities.
Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Assist in the installation of drywall, insulation, and flooring.
Help measure and cut materials to precise specifications.
Use various hand and power tools to complete tasks safely and effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Enrolled in any College/University in Kosovo, Trades Schools program related to Carpentry or a similar field.
Proficient in English Language
On the 2nd or 3rd year of Study
A National or Legal Resident of Kosovo. *
Verifiable college enrollment with GPA and current year of study
Ability to follow daily written/verbal instructions and work well under pressure and time constraints.
Ability to work with supervision and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Previous experience or coursework in Carpentry or a related field.
Basic knowledge of Carpentry tools and equipment.
