As Technical Specialist Staff, you’ll serve as a subject matter specialist in your field. This role is responsible for developing and implementing operational standards and technical specifications, so attention to detail and safety are top priorities. It’s also a leadership role, required to coordinate the work of team members and leads presentations to management!
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Performs tasks that safely ensure system integrity, support pipeline operations and maintain regulatory compliance and facility equipment
- Serves as subject matter specialist and leader in a specific technical field
- Develops and implements operational and/or technical standards and specifications
- Troubleshoots/resolves sophisticated problems using existing precedents/procedures
- Provides technical/operational mentorship
- Accounts for the technical aspect of the project plan and collaborates with company partners
- Drives development and tasks associated with operations, equipment maintenance, technical standards and/or governmental requirements
- Leads team projects of major scope or unusual complexity that has an impact on profitability

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be willing to:
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
- Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
