Candidate will function as the Lead F-35 Contract Instructor Pilot (CIP) at the MCAS Miramar, CA Pilot Training Center. Candidate will instruct flight procedures using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS) and provide academic training utilizing Electronic Mediated Lectures (EML). The instructor will operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS) at the FMS and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all pilot training courseware updates. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team on site to fulfill F-35 training objectives.
This position is in support of multiple USMC F-35 Squadrons at Miramar.
Must be willing to travel, to include F-35 enterprise training locations (CONUS/OCONUS), for extended periods. Requirements will depend on operational needs and system upgrade training for the customer. Employment will be contingent on agreement and compliance with such requirements.
This position is under the Employee Annual Incentive Program (EAIP) which pays out a yearly bonus based on your annual employee ratings and company performance.

Basic Qualifications:• Experience in fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft.
• Achieved four-ship lead or mission commander qualification.
• Minimum of 1,000 hours flight time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft.
• Experience with advanced sensors such as Night Vision devices, EO/IR targeting systems, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest air-to-surface and air-to-air weapons inventory.
• Prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training and be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.
• Candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.
• Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.
• Candidate must have active secret clearance with investigation or CV within 5 years and be able to qualify for access to Special Access Required (SAR) programs.
• Able to travel CONUS and OCONUS for up to an 89-day period of time.
Desired Skills:• USMC Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) Instructor or course graduate. US Air Force Weapons School or US Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor or course graduate.
• F-35 or F-22 flight time within the last 3 years.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
