What does a successful Contracts Manager do?
The Contracts Manager provides first level commercial and other legal-related support to the entire Digital Payment Solutions business, including contract preparation and negotiation in support of sales executives and client account managers. Individuals must enjoy providing legal consultation to stakeholders, have a business-minded orientation with a genuine interest in learning, and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple tasks in an extremely fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
- Provide legal support to Fiserv’s Digital Payment Solutions businesses encompassing the division’s full portfolio of technology solutions, including financial institution bill payments, person-to-person payments, account-to-account transfers and other money movement services, and data aggregation and verification services.
- Work directly with sales and account teams to prepare and negotiate client and other commercial agreements for the Digital Payment Solutions business.
- Collect feedback from disparate groups (e.g., finance, operations, security, product, etc.) during the contracting process.
- Review non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, and other standard legal documents.
- Interpret and negotiate business and legal terms.
- Prepare escalations of risk issues for approval by senior management.
- Learn the business products and stay current with them and with industry trends and news.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of equivalent contract management, contract administration and/or paralegal experience.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating client and vendor contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in Fortune 500 contracting function.
- Experience negotiating technology-focused contracts for financial institutions or financial technology providers.
