What does a successful Program Director do?
As a Program Director, your role will involve taking the lead in client programs, particularly focusing on large and complex custom implementations. This will involve overseeing and coordinating various projects within a broader program, ensuring that they are aligned with strategic objectives. You will be responsible for managing risks, scope, schedules, stakeholder communication, and resource allocation.
In addition to managing high-priority projects or specific components of larger programs, you will also have the responsibility of training and mentoring Program and Project Managers, as well as Implementation Advisors within the Enterprise Implementations organization. You will play a key role in engaging stakeholders, building relationships with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners, and fostering alignment and collaboration throughout the implementation process.
Your ultimate goal will be to successfully execute Enterprise deals, providing efficient and effective program management expertise.
What you will do:
- Manage a portfolio/program of projects ranging from $1-20MM for our top national/enterprise clients coming to Fiserv for merchant acquiring. Leading and managing each phase of the project lifecycle.
- Provide program management support and reporting during execution deals and solution. development across relevant segments and functions.
- Manages program level scope and change and high-level program milestones and project plans.
- Oversee the successful delivery of implementation projects; support a cross functional project team of Fiserv Professionals as they work with our clients and ensure a quality client experience.
- Identify, implement and document process improvements to speed time to revenue and enhance client experience.
- Effectively communicate and escalate important issues and service gaps to ensure prompt resolution of client concerns related to implementation efforts.
- Facilitate both internal and external program status meetings to foster alignment throughout the organization.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- 10+ years of merchant acquiring experience or relevant payment processing experience.
- 8+ years of experience as a Project or Program Management creating/maintaining project plans.
- 8+ years of experience in effectively driving project implementations.
- 8+ years of experience with process improvement identification and implementation.
- 8+ years of experience with creating or editing executive level presentations
- Availability to travel for client offsite meetings, approximately 10%-15%.
What would be great to have:
- Possession of professional certifications, such as PMP and Six Sigma.
- Advanced degree in business administration or operations.
- Familiarity with Fiserv systems and knowledge of how they operate.
