The Homeland and Force Protection Business Area is looking for a Test Engineer to support Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) projects with our Air Force customer. Our team is focused on providing engineering and integration support throughout the entire kill chain to 20+ C-sUAS sites globally. The primary project focus for this role is a C-sUAS integration effort in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The Test Engineer must be local to the Greater Boston area to provide onsite support as needed at the customer and Leidos facilities. Limited travel to the National Capital Region will also be required. As a Test Engineer, the ideal candidate will be capable of executing independent projects and collaborating with a variety of teams consisting of customer and Leidos personnel. The candidate will be responsible for technical tasks including but not limited to test development, system integration and acceptance testing. This position will require close coordination with program management, engineering staff, base personnel and customer stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate integration and test execution by defining objectives, creating a plan and timeline, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring overall success
Provide support to the IPT for system hardware-software-network design, development, integration and site installation
Develop detailed procedures for evaluation processes to ensure thorough appraisal and validation
Conduct assessments to ensure that different components of a system work together as intended
Evaluate the responsiveness, stability, and scalability of systems under various conditions
Conduct comprehensive examinations to verify the functionality and performance of structures
Identify and resolve technical issues that arise within a complex system or network infrastructure
Monitor and inspect products, processes, or services to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Author and review technical documentation
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate with Leidos PMO and customer stakeholders to prioritize tasks
Manage multiple assignments, handle changing priorities, and work independently
Able to perform in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
Must be able to occasionally work in classified environments, as well as customer locations
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree and four (4)+ years of prior relevant experience or MS with two (2) + years of prior relevant experience
Must be a US Citizen
Must possess and maintain an active SECRET clearance
Must have experience planning and executing integration and system testing for hardware and software projects
Minimum 4+ years of software and hardware testing experience.
Experience analyzing technical requirements for validity, feasibility and technical soundness and decompose them to extract positive and negative test scenarios and strong acceptance criteria.
Experience designing functional and non-functional test cases that verify requirements and validate functionality.
Experience planning and executing Test Readiness Reviews
Experience in Acceptance Testing
Experience documenting and presenting test results
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with C-sUAS systems integration and test
Part 107 Drone License
Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM)
Experience working with AF customer

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
