Boeing’s Law and Global Compliance│Ethics organization is seeking an Ethics and Compliance Senior Manager to lead the localized engagement strategy for our Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Engineering, Test, and Technology (ET&T) organization and lead a geographically dispersed team of Site Compliance and Ethics Officers (SCEO’s) aligned to BCA sites. This position can be located in Renton, WA, Everett, WA; Auburn, WA or Seattle, WA. Travel to various BCA sites will be required.
The Ethics Manager will join the Localized Engagement team within the Ethics organization and will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining an ethics engagement plan focused on key organizations and risk areas within BCA and ET&T. The position will require partnering with key leaders and stakeholders in BCA and ET&T and aligning SCEO support appropriately to prevent, detect, and respond to ethics and compliance risks.
Strategy focused on engaging locally and connecting with employees at all levels to reinforce and ensure we are living our company values is a foundational element of this position. The position will also require strategic thinking, strong written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, collaboration, independent judgment, and the ability to influence others.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads with integrity by promoting and empowering employees to speak-up, listening to them when they do, and guarding against retaliation
Promotes ethics and compliance as a top priority to the organization; fosters a culture where employees themselves own and embrace ethics and compliance; and provides coaching, as necessary
Communicates the importance of living our company values to ensure they are at the forefront of all business interactions
Maintains monitoring processes and other preventative controls to detect and prevent potential violations of the Company Code of Conduct, including violations of company
Ascertains and understands BCA and ET&T priorities and implements strategies to advance those priorities consistent with our company values
Identifies ways to enhance, develop, implement, and execute ethics and compliance
program initiatives in ways that resonate best with the BCA and ET&T organization and adds the most value to the business
Analyzes investigations metrics, business imperatives, external factors, and observations made through ethics engagements to develop tailored guidance and business solutions
Identifies and manages risks, monitors, enforces and evaluates the effectiveness of ethics and compliance policies and promotes an inclusive speak-up culture
Maintains and fosters strong constructive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate an effective risk culture where safety, quality and integrity are top of mind of all employees
Partners closely with functional partners to identify behavioral indicators of ethical risk, compliance risk, and develops strategies to proactively address risks before they manifest
Provides guidance and direction to management and other personnel on all matters pertaining to ethics and compliance
Researches and responds to ethics and compliance questions from all employees
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed
Success in this role will be hinged on the ability to lead a team in developing proactive solutions to prevent, detect, and respond to relevant ethics and compliance risks; in maintaining a deep knowledge of ethics and compliance program strategies, policies, processes, industry trends, and best practices; and to stay up-to date on company ethics and cultural initiatives and identifying methods, practices, and tools to complement and enhance these.
Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):
5+ years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams
5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
5+ years of experience in risk monitoring and compliance requirements
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
3+ years’ experience in ethics or compliance
1+ years’ experience in a role that required project management skills
Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, compliance, law, risk management, business administration, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience working in a corporate ethics and compliance department or government agency
Experience working in engineering or manufacturing settings, with involvement in product and services or quality evaluations
Experience conducting risk and compliance assessments and developing business engagement plans
Project management skills related to setting goals, priorities and executing plans

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $147,900 - $200,100
