The Schwab Digital Fraud and Enterprise Middleware team is looking for a Senior Globalscape Systems Engineer, experienced in an Enterprise Environment that demands highly secure and reliable messaging processing. You should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications within a dynamic Agile Scrum Team to design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance business critical integration projects. This position is responsible for ensuring secure and efficient data transfer between internal and external systems, managing file transfer processes, implementing protocols, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues that arise with EFT Globalscape application. The role will require a strong work ethic, high level of responsibility and accountability, problem solving skills and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization.
Postion Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining the Globalscape EFT server and related infrastructure, ensuring the system is configured correctly, optimized for performance, and secure
- Managing File Transfer Processes by overseeing the entire lifecycle of file transfers, from initial setup to completion, ensuring data integrity and security
- Configuring and managing file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS), setting up user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Investigating and resolving technical issues related to Globalscape EFT related to file transfer failures, connectivity problems etc
- Working with internal and external teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Tracking file transfer performance, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring sufficient capacity to handle data volumes
- Implementing and enforcing security protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR)
- Build and maintain the operational readiness of the application infrastructure
- Maintain version, patch, and security levels, in accordance with the strategic direction of the company
- Provide level 3 Support for projects and implemented applications
- Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into MFT solutions
- Maintaining detailed documentation of MFT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
- Keeping abreast of the latest MFT technologies, best practices, and security threats
- Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in to end to end Global Scape EFT System Administration
- Strong understanding of Managed File Transfer (MFT) technologies, protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS), related infrastructure and security practices
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems , Scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Perl), Databases (basic understanding), TCP/IP networking and systems administration (Windows)
- Hands on Exposure with Windows Server Administration, Upgrades and Installations, IIS management along with App Pool configurations, SSL Certificate installation and application deployments
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex MFT issues
- Familiarity with security protocols, network protocols, encryption techniques, and compliance requirements
- Experience with basic network and Storage related configurations and Troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in GCP or AWS is preferred
- Familiarity with SFTP and Industry standard Products as well as best practices
- Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify problems/gaps, assess the requirements to address, and get buy-in to implement solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for composing and delivering technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various level of technical and non-technical management
- Experience in an Agile tools and methodologies and tools (JIRA)
- Strong problem-solving skills, sense of ownership, and self-motivated with a passion for resolving technical problems
- Good communication and collaboration skills across team boundaries
