Job Summary
As an entry-level Associate Tool and Gage Technician, your duties include calibrating and adjusting gauges to meet the standards set by the manufacturing, assembly, and test departments. You will also manage electronic inventory records using SAP or similar systems and maintain precise calibration records for all gauges issued, returned, or serviced by both internal departments and external vendors.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Proficient in using gage blocks, horizontal trimos, and other gage setting devices.
- Oversee the receiving, storing, handling, issuing, and distribution of perishable tooling, fixtures, gages, shop supplies, and safety items (PPE).
- Capable of taking direction and collaborating effectively in a team environment with both internal and external associates.
- Perform frequent heavy lifting and stand for prolonged periods.
- Available to work overtime and occasional weekends.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledgeable in compounds such as paint, chemicals, etc.
- Skilled in gage setting, perishable cutting tools, grinding wheels, fixtures, and abrasive products.
- Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
