Job Description
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer (Experienced and Senior) to join the Secure Computing Solutions group located in Pleasanton, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
As a Software Engineer in Boeing’s Secure Computing Solutions group, you will be part of the Integrated Product Team which develop security solutions (Software Tools, BSPs, Firmware and support libraries) around our custom SoC’s and embedded systems for defense, commercial and aerospace applications.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Senior Level Embedded Software Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics
Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
Leads other software engineers
Works under general direction
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).
Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
1 year experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) development
3 years’ experience understanding of software development flows and processes
3 years’ experience developing and debugging software using high level programming languages (C, C++)
1 year experience developing and debugging software for embedded systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience developing embedded software for ARM processors
Experience with industry standard Real Time Operating Systems
Familiarity with computer/information security principles
Experience working in an Agile development environment

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Experienced: $118,150.00 – $159,850.00.
Summary pay range for senior level: $141,950.00 – $192,050.00.
