Boeing is seeking a P-8 Mission Systems Engineer to join our P-8 Increment 3 Block 2 program in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the functional check out of mission systems for the P-8 aircraft. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and technical subject matter experts to ensure superior capability and performance of the aircraft. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of the P-8 program and shape the future of maritime surveillance capabilities.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-Level or Senior P-8 Mission Systems Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support for the modification, troubleshooting, and resolution of mission systems issues for the P-8 aircraft, focusing on the I3B2 modification program
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve mission system test failures during the modification program
- Work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and technical contractors to diagnose mission systems issues, define technical solutions, and communicate progress and updates related to aircraft modifications and support
- Collaborate with the engineering team to provide subject matter expertise and guidance during modification planning and execution phases
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years of experience in mission systems engineering, including experience with aircraft modifications, system integration, evaluation and airworthiness program planning and management
- Experience with P-8 (or similar systems) fleet support or aircraft system design
- Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, and problem solving and making independent decisions
- Experience in a role that required you to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active Security Clearance
- Experience with maritime surveillance systems
- Experience working on P-8 Increment 3 Block 2 (I3B2) or similar modification programs
- Familiarity with technical aspects of the P-8 aircraft and its mission systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $81,600 - $110,400
Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $97,750 - $132,250
Summary Pay Range Senior (Level 4): $119,850 - $162,150
