Overview
The Visual Merchandising Project and Communication Manager position manages the operational aspects of the Visual Merchandising Department to streamline processes and procedures. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads and manages communication and timelines for projects, campaigns, section resets and other visual merchandising initiatives, including written and verbal communication in Sharepoint and Zipline.
- Assists in planning and scheduling workload hours to efficiently execute projects across teams.
- Facilitates communication review and approval processes for direction to stores.
- Oversees documentation and training for the Visual Merchandising Department.
- Supports the Director of Visual Merchandising in the management of priorities and allocation of resources to implement company directives and initiatives.
- Assist with the planning, management and forecasting of budgets.
- Identifies and partners with outside vendors and contractors, managing the team’s vendor relationships, sourcing and pricing negotiations.
- Collaborates with internal teams in Buying, Marketing, Creative and Online to identify goals and cohesive direction for sale campaigns, campaigns, section resets, global promotions, targeted offers and general presentation.
- Advocates for an efficient and effective creative process supporting a greater understanding and accountability by all (Buying, Visual, Creative), that implements a balanced in-store customer experience/product presentation.
- Works with Technology in identification of applicable process.
- Communicates and demonstrates company standards as they relate to merchandising and presentation practices/guidelines, and the importance of Visual Merchandising to our selling efforts and service expectations
- Stays current on all product information, merchandising memos/directives and company communication
- Maintains a current and thorough understanding of best practices and trends in Visual Merchandising, presentation and décor
- Proactively identifies opportunities and works to formulate, propose and implement necessary change
- Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
- Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
- Performs other requested tasks and duties

Experience and Skills Required
- College degree preferred
- 3-5 years' visual merchandising experience; housewares preferred
- Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding or ability to quickly learn other software including but not limited to CAD and Planogram Software
- Proficient with basic Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
- Ability to travel 10% a year, based on the business needs
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
- Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
- Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
- Possesses focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure
- Professional manner and strong communication skills internally and with outside vendor partners
- Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
