The Opportunity
The Work Itself
- Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate business needs to design and develop data products to improve efficiency and bring value to partner business units.
- Stays current with industry trends and leads development of key data/analytics innovation platforms
- Collaborates with governance teams to design and implement common data standards to enable consistent and accurate reporting for the business
- Partner with senior management to understand and deliver key analytic solutions to gather performance insights
- Ensure stability, performance and support of production reporting and meet demand for data across Analytic teams
- Advanced working knowledge of SQL, Python, software development and Database architecture
- Working knowledge of Big data concepts and data retrieval from Snowflake and multiple other sources.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or similar discipline with quantitative focus required
- Working experience (3+yrs) building applications with Python and SQL (Snowflake) required
- Background in software development with Flask and Fastapi libraries preferred
- Experience with JavaScripts, HTML, CSS preferred.
- Knowledge of Snowflake SQL, data warehousing, statistical analysis tools, and visualization tools.
- Experience with Posit, Posit Connect and dbt
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code and maintain version control strategies.
- Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
- Quick learner and has demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and execute small to medium scale projects.
