Engineering Program Manager – Hardware

What does a successful Engineering Program Manager do at Fiserv?

As an Engineering Program Manager – Hardware you will be responsible for driving the product integration of Clover's POS Hardware. You will be engaged from concept and support all hardware aspects needed to continuously build great hardware.

What you will do:

  • You partner with hardware and system software teams early in the design cycle to improve and maintain Clover’s hardware products throughout the design and development cycle.
  • You drive collaboration across Product, Design, Operations, and Support teams to prioritize what matters most—keeping production moving and quality high.
  • You build clear schedules and track progress so our Clover hardware hits production and launch targets without surprises.
  • You coordinate with external labs and internal teams to get our devices certified—PCI, EMVCo, P2PE—you help make it all happen.
  • You work closely with our ODM partners, turning plans into action and keeping production on track from prototypes to launch.
  • You lead the integration of software and OS updates with hardware to ensure every release works seamlessly in the field.
  • You stay on top of changes and timelines, making sure every hardware update transitions smoothly into production.
  • You support factory builds and onsite activities, jumping in when needed to keep hardware delivery on course.

What you will need to have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of experience in technical environment leading programs, education and military. 
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in hardware product development, or a mix of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of Program Management.
  • Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools to manage and track project progress.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus in ambiguous situations.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-volume hardware products with consistency and quality.

What would be great to have:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and with leadership and partners.
  • Knowledge of Reliability and Quality methods and requirements for hardware. 
  • Knowledge of Android-based devices. 
  • Experience with FinTech or Payment technologies is considered a plus. 
  • Experience with IoT products and working with Telecom vendors.

Salary Range

$96,200.00 - $164,900.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
