About The Team
The Point of Sale team powers core functionalities for merchants, including order and inventory management, employee oversight, and full-service dining solutions. We've also built an Online Ordering platform that integrates with major providers, meeting the growing demand for seamless digital transactions. Our Web Engineers work iteratively, releasing features every two weeks, ensuring merchants have the tools they need to operate efficiently.
What You Will Do
- Own and develop key web features, enhancing performance and functionality.
- Build and maintain scalable web applications, frameworks, and libraries.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into functional, maintainable software.
- Contribute to feature development using modern web technologies, including React and TypeScript.
- Develop automated tests and work closely with QA to define testing strategies.
- Participate in code and design reviews, mentoring junior developers.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins).
- Participate in a regular on-call rotation.
What You Will Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical education.
- 7+ years of software development experience with a focus on web applications.
- Deep expertise in React, Webpack, and modern front-end tooling.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML ecosystems.
- Experience delivering feature-rich web UIs at scale.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, source control (GitHub Enterprise), and automated testing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What Would Be Great To Have
- Strong code quality standards with modern JavaScript best practices.
- Experience with localization, JavaScript testing frameworks (Jest, etc.), and scripting tools.
- Comfortable working in Node.js and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Experience with npm package management and versioning.
