Title:

Reliability Engineer
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering preferably in oil and gas/petrochemical domain. Experience in static and Rotating equipment, instrument and electrical system and understanding their failure modes and potential solutions is desirable.
  • Shall be aware of all the key performance indicators related to reliability of plant operation and be able to support and drive those KPI’s.
  • Carried out minimum three to four end-to-end RCM studies.
  • Experience in developing asset hierarchy, performing asset prioritization, developing failure modes and effects using reliability centered maintenance approach (RCM)
  • Experience in performing Safety instrument function (SIF) analysis and LOPA, and HAZOP will be added advantage.
  • Experience with operations, maintenance, pre-commissioning, commissioning and Hand-over activities is an advantage
  • Experience in administering the Asset Lifecycle management procedures such as Asset criticality ranking, SAP Taxonomy, Asset Operating Limits [IOW], Asset maintenance development procedures, and Master data developments in SAP, Bill of Materials BOM in SAP, active SAP-PMs Implementation and effectiveness
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance of equipment including the dismantling, assembly, and inspection of critical equipment (compressors, boiler feed pumps, generators, reformers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves etc.)
  • Knowledge in plant reliability and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of CMMS and reliability software applications
  • Knowledge in defining business processes related to reliability and maintenance for process plants
  • Experience in analyzing the maintenance data from systems such as System 1, Smart Signal, etc. will be added advantage
  • The primary role will be to design and develop maintenance strategies for different assets in the plant. The main activities are:

  • Perform RCM, studies  for equipment/systems and recommend maintenance strategies
  • Conduct design workshops with client to develop maintenance strategies
  • Develop failure modes, indicators to detect failure modes
  • To prepare framework and methodology for criticality assessment and Reliability improvement program of clients’ assets.
  • To lead and Perform Asset Criticality Analysis.
  • To collect all data for criticality assessment, Lead/conduct Asset Criticality assessment workshops, Compilation of workshop finding in suitable reports and populate the data in required format for uploading in SAP with supporting documents.
  • Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans for assets
  • Shall initiate and conduct essential studies for facilities and operational asset improvements, while providing specialized technical service in relevant engineering disciplines, acts as a consultant on complex engineering problems, designs, and/or projects, coordinates with plant-wide teams.
  • Responsible to adapt lessons learned from benchmark and safety cases identified from events, providing recommendations - in consultation with management to provide continuous assurance methodology is applied to sustain the health of Safety-Critical Equipment’s concerning Total Reliability program are sufficient to mitigate any potential threats arising from changes in major hazard scenarios.
  • Shall Work with multidisciplinary teams assigned to analyses specific integrity and performance analysis and suggest methods for the prevention of chronic failures. Support to review the Total Reliability program KPIs.
  • Collaboratively work with team, peers, and client to successfully implement maintenance and reliability solution
  • CMMS/EAM like SAP PM and APM tools like GE Meridium, Bentley APM
  • Soft skills requirements including excellent written and verbal English communications skill with proven ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals
  • Willing to travel to site and stay for short as well as longer periods
  • Build client relationships
  • Should have worked in large teams and should be a good team player
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant engineering with sound fundamentals and technical skills in his discipline is required.
  • Certifications related to Maintenance and Reliability (CMRP/CMRL) will be added advantage
  • The candidate should have training, experience, and/or certification as RCM facilitator and should be able to facilitate RCA, ACA and RCM process.
