SDA Tracking Layer programs provide constellations of low earth orbit satellites and supporting ground systems as components of a sensor backbone for national security space customers.
- Provide technical direction and failure analysis for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions/anomalies, and recommends alternate operating techniques for mission support
- Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, as well as command and control activities
- Conduct mission/program specific real time satellite flight operations during readiness (rehearsals and Launch and early orbit ops), execution, and evaluation phases
- Analyze and validate software performance and recommend improvements for system software in accomplishment of all satellite control tasks
- Serve as the internal LM technical owner for LM engineering for the Bus Product as well as development of procedures
- Drive all technical aspects of the T2 Tracking Layer Bus Product from development through operations
- Complete a certification program and mentor and grow the next wave of technical talent for the team- Work with the CAM to ensure programmatic baseline conforms to standard EVM practices
- Actively manage and communicate risks to LM Program and Chief Engineering Teams- Work with IPT leadership to assign and manage resources for proper execution
- Translate System Requirements into Bus Level Specifications

- Experience in multiple phases of the acquisition process (ex. proposal, Design, Manufacturing, Operations)
- Familiarity with satellite operations and programmatic cost and schedule
- Active or Current Secret clearance: U.S. Citizenship required.
Desired Skills:- Satellite Operations experience
- Software and hardware testing
- Experience with Infrared payloads, On-Orbit Mission tuning/calibration
- Anomaly resolution and previous experience with failure review boards
- Previous Subsystem or Vehicle Level Systems Engineering experience
- Previous ownership of a technical product
- Demonstrated Supplier Oversight
- LEOPS experience- 8-10 years of relevant space experience (advanced degrees will count towards experience)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
