Radar AnalystImprove Army Weapon systems through performance analysis!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The analyst evaluates PATRIOT Ground System performance data from Live Firings, Ground Testing, and Simulation with focus on radar search, track, electronic counter measures and discrimination functions. This requires knowledge of Radar signal and data processing methods. The analyst develops Test Plans, participates in testing, writes Test Incident Reports (TIRs), and reviews TIR responses. The analyst is responsible for reviewing and monitoring Software changes to Radar/Surveillance and supporting functions. The analyst will become proficient in data reduction software with a wide variety of output files from both the tactical system and simulation, the specific variables within the files, and how to apply them to determine system performance. Up to 15% Travel is required. This is a fully funded, full-time position. Primary effort is team-focused and conducted in a KBR corporate classified laboratory environment located at 6200 Redstone Gateway SW, in Huntsville, AL, just outside Redstone Arsenal Gate 9. Candidate must be a resident of the Northern Alabama area or be able to relocate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess undergraduate degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM
- 2 – 5 years of experience in related field
- Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions
- Demonstrate basic understanding of radar functionality
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Radar-related Signal Processing Experience or Coursework
- Experience in Air & Missile Defense Weapon Systems, Flight Tests/Ground System Tests, Data Analysis
- Understanding of MATLAB, C/C++, Python, SQL, Visual Basic (VB), C#, or any other high-level programming language
- Ability to brief audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
