What does a successful Program Director do at Fiserv?
As a Program Director, your role will involve taking the lead in client programs, particularly focusing on large and complex custom implementations. This will involve overseeing and coordinating various projects within a broader program, ensuring that they are aligned with strategic objectives. You will be responsible for managing risks, scope, schedules, stakeholder communication, and resource allocation.
In addition to managing high-priority projects or specific components of larger programs, you will also have the responsibility of training and mentoring Program and Project Managers, as well as Implementation Advisors within the Enterprise Implementations organization. You will play a key role in engaging stakeholders, building relationships with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners, and fostering alignment and collaboration throughout the implementation process.
Your ultimate goal will be to successfully execute Enterprise deals, providing efficient and effective program management expertise.
What you will do:
- Lead complex projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations and business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders on project progress and any potential issues.
- Identify and resolve project risks and issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Monitor project performance, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Provide strategic guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and industry best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement by conducting post-project evaluations and implementing lessons learned.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- 9+ years of experience in project management, leading complex projects in financial services.
- 8+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- 10+ years of experience with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
