We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing new and potential commercial and industrial accounts within a defined territory. The Business Development Manager will work closely with prospective clients to assess their current facility services programs and create tailored sales and marketing strategies that address their unique needs. This position involves partnering with ABM operations to plan and execute superior results, owning the strategic selling process, and maintaining strong client relationships while cross-selling our comprehensive lines of facilities services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation.
- Client Engagement: Meet potential clients, understand their needs, and perform site surveys to develop proposals that meet their objectives.
- Sales Strategy: Create and present effective sales and marketing strategies, including bundled solutions.
- Objection Handling: Address client concerns by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to reach positive conclusions.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of leads, active prospects, and sales forecasts in Salesforce.
- Sales Targets: Forecast and achieve sales targets, tracking activity on accounts to close deals.
- Networking: Attend and participate in industry events and organizations such as CREW and BOMA International.
- Collaboration: Work with operations and sales support teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project execution.
- Special Projects: Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in business development, with a focus on cold calling and self-generated leads.
- Skills:
- Hunter sales mentality, goal-driven, and self-motivated.
- Proven success in selling services or intangible business offerings.
- Knowledge of facility services, janitorial, commercial real estate, or related fields preferred.
- Strong presentation skills and comfort in group settings.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prospects at various stages of the sales process.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Self-disciplined, results-driven, and accustomed to achieving high performance and winning sales awards.
