Job Summary Details: The Custodial Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of custodial staff to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of assigned facilities. This role involves training staff, inspecting work, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleaning standards.
Schedule: Mon - Fri (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) with mandatory OT for large events/functions
Pay Rate: $21.45 per hour

Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and lead a team of custodians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Train custodial staff on proper cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with organizational and safety standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and request orders as needed.
- Coordinate work schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance or cleanliness issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with management to implement improvements in custodial operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in custodial or janitorial work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and physical labor.
- Will require working in various locations, including schools, offices, or industrial settings.
