Overview
Job Summary Details: Works independent under the oversight of Master Electrician or Assists Master Electrician or Licensed Maintenance Electrician to carry out and install and repair electrical infrastructures, wiring, fixtures, and equipment by performing the following duties.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Gathers tools and supplies to be used at work site.
· Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit.
· Drills holes for wiring and pulls or pushes wiring through opening.
· Performs periodic thermal scans on panels and switches and motors
· Traces out short circuits in wiring.
· Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
· Performs minor repairs and replacements such as replacing ballasts, lamps, fuses, light sockets, bulbs, outlets and witches.
· Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
· Disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts, and reassembles equipment.
· Cleans MEP work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
· Performs other routine maintenance duties.

Qualifications:
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year experience and/or trade training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Able to follow Work Order Systems Order processing systems; Able to use Time and attendance Biometric Punches Payroll systems and Excel awareness Spreadsheet software. Awareness of low voltateg / BAS controls a plus
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Driver’s License, Apprenticeship Registration a PLUS, Pursuit of formal credentials via apprenticeship
Other Skills and Abilities
Strong aptitude to electric service and maintenance on HVAC plant and base building power wring and lighting.
Other Qualifications: Open to learn new skill.
