What You Will Do
- Complete welding and assembly of complex standard products.
- Will train on 1st shift (6a-2p) and move to 2nd shift (2p-10p) in approximately 6 months after training is completed.
- Starting rate is $30.99/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour shift premium when moved to 2nd shift.
How You Will Do It
- Performs structural carbon, galvanized and stainless-steel welding.
- Performs plasma and oxygen cutting.
- Able to weld, layout, cut and fit parts to meet drawing tolerances.
- Regulate current, voltage and select proper tips, rods and sizes for various types of welding according to individual job requirements.
- Manipulate electrode in proper sequence and use care to lay smooth and even bead of required width. (Avoid undercutting of metal).
- Use hand or power tools to clean equipment after welding.
- Complete assembly of complex standard products where procedures and methods are prescribed, involving tubing layout and application to package, bending or sawing pipe as needed.
Required Qualification
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Tig Welding Experience is a must.
- Pipe Welding Experience is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited welding training program preferred.
