What does a successful Director, Experiential Events and Marketing do?
The Director, Experiential Events and Marketing is responsible for leading our strategic event and marketing initiatives to enhance the Fiserv brand while driving engagement with our clients and stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of both event management and marketing strategies, focusing on creating transformative experiences that are reflective of our innovative culture. A successful candidate will excel in designing and executing high-impact, technology-driven events that resonate with our audience and position Fiserv as a leader in the financial services industry.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive experiential events strategy that aligns with Fiserv’s marketing objectives and business goals as well as maximize engagement and outreach.
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all client-facing and internal events, ensuring each event showcases innovative experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development and corporate communications, to integrate event strategies into broader marketing campaigns.
- Oversee budget management for events, ensuring effective resource allocation and maximizing return on investment.
- Utilize data analytics and market research to inform event strategies and improve overall attendee engagement.
- Collaborate with a team of event professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
- Cultivate relationships with external vendors and partners to secure the best resources and technologies for our events.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in experiential marketing and event technology to continually elevate our event approach.
What you will need to have:
- Experience in event management or event marketing
- Experience leading large-scale events
- 8+ years of an equivalent combination of education background, related experience, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- 5+ years of experience in experiential marketing in a corporate environment.
- Bachelors degree
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Meeting Management (CMM) or Certified Exhibition Management (CEM)
- Proficiency in event management software and digital marketing tools.
- Solid financial acumen for budget oversight and resource management.
- Strong project management skills

- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time and work weekends/evenings, as necessary.
