Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Asset Management Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Asset Management Supplier Tooling and Vehicle Fleet Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and maintain accounting records pertaining to the Supplier Tooling and Vehicle Fleet program, ensuring compliance with GAAP when recording activities such as sales to Rent-A-Car Centers, repurchases, and auction sales. As well as leading process improvement activities to create efficiencies over supplier tooling and fleet processes.
Reporting to the Fixed Asset Manager, the person in this role will be responsible for leading the supplier tooling audit and confirmation process by working cross-functionally with suppliers and purchasing to collect and validate the information as well as accounting for the vehicle fleet program.
What you’ll be doing
Oversee and maintain accounting records related to Toyota’s assets (including fleet vehicles and supplier tooling assets for United States, Canadian, and Mexican manufacturing entities) in alignment with GAAP.
Execute monthly preparation and reconciliation of Fleet Vehicle and Supplier Tooling Asset System activities, including using RPA bots, system transactions, and other asset lifecycle activities.
Manage the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including variance (flux) analysis and preparation of detailed balance sheet reconciliations and rollforward for asset accounts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, purchasing, Center of Excellence (COE systems team), and fleet program personnel to provide accounting support.
Support SOX and financial audits by ensuring financials are in accordance with GAAP and contain appropriate levels of financial and business controls.
Coordinate annual supplier tooling audit and asset confirmation process by working cross-functionally with suppliers, Purchasing, Tax, and Sales teams to collect and validate information, including processing of tooling disposals.
Maintain and govern data for over 300,000 assets across multiple business units, implementing improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency in asset property management and reporting.
Perform any other duties assigned by management, which include special projects.
What you bring
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or relevant experience.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
Strong Analytical skills with attention to detail and completeness.
Solid time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function independently in a fast-paced environment.
Added bonus if you have
Experience with fixed assets.
Understanding of the automobile industry.
