The Role:
The Launch Electrical Process Coordinator role is the key person at Launch to ensure all manufacturing requirements and best practices are implemented. You will also ensure the in-process testers are successfully executed. Following all standards in the Electrical Bill of Operations. As a member of the Fort Wayne Launch Electrical team you will be a part of executing truck production at a high-volume plant with the goal to exceed quality metrics.
What You'll Do: (Responsibilities):
- Launch (Travel as required, supporting off shifts required)
- Lead implementation of Electrical Standards applicable to the plant floor, implement training to achieve standards, support the review/verification/implementation of Electrical Manufacturing Requirements. Electrical Best Practices, and MPD Process
- Work with 3rd Party Assemblers to ensure Electrical Standards are followed
- Ensure floor standardized work and defect reporting system have matching terminology for repair and production operators by supplying standard language for core team use
- Participate in applicable working calls, virtual builds/reviews for understanding new product and making plant specific assessments on issues
- Assist with packaging/hanking, harness sequence racks, and lift assist designs to deliver defect free harnesses to the production line
- Assist in the design and buyoff of harness lift assist
- Follow all builds and help develop and teach best handling and routing practices
- Work with supplier and ME to develop in process testers, assist with product info to supplier (3D/2D prints, harness prints, Schematics, etc.), set deliverables for tester supplier, be voice of plant for buy off and support tester implementation (vehicle parts, subassemblies)
- Document and track all issues appropriately, escalate to leadership when needed, support other team members in their issues
- Utilizes the plant testing systems to improve and correlate plant electrical performance for Electrical First Time Quality (EFTQ) and Warranty
- Learn new technologies and effectively transfer key learnings to appropriate plant team members, read across from other plants to improve product
