Job Description
This role will be based in New York City.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role will function as a senior advisor to the Head of Originals, blending creative, editorial, and strategic skills to help drive the successful operation of the LinkedIn Productions team. It will help drive the team’s critical creative initiatives, ensuring that all content, regardless of format, earns the attention of our members and makes LinkedIn their go-to platform for professional growth and development. Given the rapid shifts in the professional world, the role has a clear objective but requires fluidity to meet our members where and when they need us most. The individual in this position must be able to dive into any area of content across the team, understand content needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities. This key leadership position is essential for driving productivity and impact, helping turn bold ideas into results.
Creative Execution + Engagement:
- Ensure that all content produced meets the highest standards of quality and credibility, not only setting the bar for the platform but continuously raising it.
- Oversee strategic content initiatives from development through successful execution.
- Connect dots between various creative outputs with a focus on growth.
- Build and execute the playbook for how final content products are structured and produced to maximize audience retention and engagement.
- Help foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Development: Collaborate with the Head of Original Programming and other team members to develop and executive highly engaging content that aligns with our strategies and goals
- Editorial & Creative Excellence: Provide editorial guidance and ensure that all content meets the highest standards of quality, trust, and relevance. All content needs to be appealing, engaging and resonate with our target audience.
- Audience Engagement: Understand viral content mechanics in order to build and execute the playbook for how final content products are structured and produced to maximize audience retention and engagement (metrics include CTR and AVD).
- Communication and Integration: Act as an air traffic controller, connecting units and workstreams that would otherwise remain siloed.
- Project Oversight: Lead cross-creative team projects, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 15+ years of experience in media/technology with a comprehensive understanding of content creation, storytelling and editorial strategy across a multitude of formats (live, long-form, short-form/social, marketing).
- Experience show running, executive producing, and developing and executing creative strategies.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $197,000 - $320,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
